O’Neill’s roots stretch all the way back to Northern California 1952, and the humble beginnings of the world’s O’Riginal surf brand. The history of the brand is mirrored in the histories of it’s founder Jack O’Neill and surfing itself. Without Jack, there would not be surfing as it is known today. The simple desire to surf longer, drove Jack to create the first wetsuit. A simple, yet ground breaking idea to keep you surfing longer. Jack’s passion for surfing and the ocean, led to the invention of multiple mainstay products in surf equipment today, wetsuits, leashes, board bags and booties. All of which, were sold in the first surf shop, which he opened in 1952 in San Francisco. Today, the same innovative and adventurous spirit that drove Jack forward, still drives O’Neill today. Constantly improving, evolving and producing products for all those that live an adventurous lifestyle.
