Reasonable protection offered by these pads but they are still great to pedal in. The pad is flexible which keeps them comfortable for longer rides. I’m really happy with these and don’t mind wearing them every ride. The packaging on mine was designed to be cut into a front mud guard similar to ‘marsh guard’ which was an unexpected bonus.
