- Russell Fredric12 January 2024purchased november 2022. this is a really great rack that is very well designed & engineered with some well-considered features and details. with the bike frame supports and wheel straps, two e-bikes are rock-solid secure for short or long distance travel. we have specialised e-bikes of two different models with 27.5" and 29 inch wheels respectively and the rack supports both and importantly, the wheel supports and wheel tie straps are adjustable to the length of the bikes. the tilt mechanism that operates from the external end of the rack (not the tow bar end ) is an absolute godsend. the rack is reasonably weighty to carry, but is fairly easy to put on the towball after a couple of times to get the knack, and is extremely stable vertically and horizontially on the towball even with around 44kgs of bikes on; it has never shifted. the bike frame supports have locking mechanisms as does the towball mount so the bikes and rack are really secure which gives a lot of peace of mind while in public places or unattended or overnight. our rack has drawn some keen attention from others in the time we've had it. a couple of minor gripes: 1. the rack i purchased did not have led lights at that time (surprisingly the bulbs are incandescent.) i don't know if this has changed. if not, this would be a simple and welcome improvement. 2. after rain, water ac***ulates inside the wheel support arms and drains out when they are lowered. a couple of drain holes in the plastic fitting at the end would fix this. the rack has been a very good investment and there are no signs of wear or deterioration in any of the components and we have absolutely no regrets. imo there is not need to outlay extra cash on a more expensive rack.
