Moving on in the year we start to experience the season change, and with that comes wonderful things from Fox, as they announce their FA17 MTB range. While their range hasn’t been extensively expanded they have greatly improved on their existing range with epic new colourways and added features. We here at Torpedo7 are very excited to get our hands on the new range of gear and hit those trails in Fox style.
Fox returns with its well-known MX inspired Flexair range, presenting as their top of the line range for the avid MTB rider or those looking for more from their gear over a more standard Indicator or Ranger set. With Trumotion technology and advanced moisture wicking the Flexair range always provides a comfortable fit while remaining extremely lightweight, available in a long-sleeve jersey, downhill pant, mountain biking short and gloves!
Accompanying Fox’s top of the line Flexair range is the Proframe MIPS Full Face MTB Helmet, taking the spot of Fox’s premium full face mountain bike helmet. Taking claim as Fox’s lightest most breathable full face helmet that Fox has ever created, downhill certified, with a fully integrated chin bar and 24 big bore vents the Proframe is incredible. Equipped with revolutionary MIPS technology and weighing only 750 grams for a medium the Proframe is perfect for anyone seeking full face protection without weighing you down.
Returning for FA17 is Fox’s well performing Attack Glove, presenting again its premium D30® knuckle guard with stretch Cordura® construction and Clarino® combined with D30® foam giving great palm protection and comfortability. All this now available in an exciting new Dark Red to match other great gear in the FA17 range including the new Dark Red Proframe helmet.
Fox’s top selling Indicator Jersey is no stranger to us Fox Crusaders, with its Trudi polyester for rapid drying helping to keep you dry throughout your ride, reflective details to assure you are safe and seen and stash pocket for carrying the essentials the Indicator has always been able to do it all, and it’s no different for FA17, available in short and long sleeve versions!
FA17 also hosts a new range of Ranger MTB gear, the same gear we know and love available in new and exciting colourways, with the jersey still providing Fox’s awesome Trudri technology helping keep your gear light and dry throughout your ride. While the Ranger Cargo Short remains Fox’s top selling MTB short, for one reason, it works, the midweight 2 way stretch material assures a flexible fit combined with the detachable EVO chamois enabling you to ride all day, accompanied by the Ranger Glove with its strategically placed Trugel and 4-way stretch polyester, with the Ranger Gel version giving touch screen compatibility.
As mountain biking grows more and more women are becoming avid bike riders, which is great as it promotes more families to go mountain biking and gives the sport a more diverse and awesome culture. Fox has really come to the party with their complete women’s specific mountain bike gear range, the Ripley. With the same technologies and construction as Fox’s well known Ranger line, the Ripley offers everything the Ranger does but in a women’s specific fit.
